So, I'm just guessing here, since I had a similar problem (if maybe not the exact same problem) while trying to run the install for this game (the Jap. Sengoku Basara 4 Pc Bitdefender. Version) on my Windows 7 laptop here. What ended up working was right clicking the large application file, going to Properties >Advanced tab >and then setting the compatibility settings to work with Windows 98/ME. It works, although you have to change the directory it wants to install to to some other one other than the default one it tries to install to because it will fail. And then afterwards, simply apply the English patch and you're all good to go! Hopefully this helps anyone else who was struggling with this!
